hua
Hearts United for Animals, in Auburn, Nebraska, is a non-profit, 501 3c, no kill animal rescue sanctuary that rests on 65 acres of land designed to give the 300 residents in their care the ability to run, play and be among beautiful trees and soft grass. The sanctuary is dedicated to the relief of suffering. We take the creatures that are lost, afraid, hungry or ill and comfort them, give them a warm soft bed, nourishing food, medical care and a lot of love. These grateful animals give immeasurable gifts in return. We know our animals well and can tell adopters much about their personalities likes and dislikes. An innovator of long distance adoptions, HUA has placed dogs in 45 states and Canada. Hears United for Animals is devoted to dogs that have suffered abuse or neglect; it is a place of happiness, joy and ultimately, healing. www.hua.org.

DT6_logoDuck Team 6
The mission of Duck Team 6 is “To reduce the street dog population through Capture, Placement, and Outreach.” A 501(c) (3) non- profit organization that rescues dogs from the streets of Dallas. Our volunteers are a group of independent rescuers who save street dogs in the Dallas area by helping capture hard-to-catch dogs that have lived their lives as strays. We are not a shelter so we rely on fosters and other rescue organizations to assist us until we can find permanent homes for the dogs we capture. We are a 100% volunteer organization and all donations go straight to our dogs! We also provide full veterinary care including spay/neuter, microchips and vaccinations for our “Duck Dogs.” To date, we have rescued about 450 dogs directly from the streets of Dallas!

We don’t just capture dogs! We have an excellent community outreach program that collects and delivers dog food and supplies each week to our communities in need. We are huge advocates of education and “litter prevention” and in doing so we host vaccination events to provide free services to the community dogs in need. We also deliver approximately 3,000 lbs of dog food to our communities in need along with other dog supplies. Duck Team 6 also promotes and sponsors low cost or free spay/neuter surgeries to pet owners who could not afford to do so otherwise. To learn more about our mission and how you can help us with our goal to reduce the Dallas street dog population to zero, please visit us at www.DuckTeam6.org or LIKE us on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/DuckTeam6.

blanketsOperation Blankets of Love is an award-winning non-profit 501(c)3 public charity. We collect, transport and distribute recycled and new pet-related items to comfort stray, sick, neglected and abused homeless animals in shelters, rescue groups, sanctuaries and foster groups. In addition, as an Emergency Response Team, we partner with those organizations to provide relief and comfort to animals that are displaced or endangered by catastrophe. Operation Blankets of Love is a Partner Service Provider for The American Red Cross of Santa Monica. Studies show that rescue dogs given comfort items and blankets are more relaxed, assured, and happy; this home-like touch translates into more successful adoptions.Operation Blankets of Love

Paws-in-City-logoPaws in the City
Founded in 2005, Paws In The City is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization committed to ending the abuse, neglect and overpopulation of Dallas-area dogs and cats. Every year in the Dallas metroplex, over 200,000 animals are euthanized. We are working to put an end to that. Our goal is that every adoptable dog and cat get a loving home. We provide money for spay/neuter programs and, by increasing the adoption rate, we are taking the first step in making Dallas a no kill city. Paws In The City rescues and heals the abused, neglected and abandoned dogs and cats of our community and then finds them loving homes. Every dollar raised goes to our foster, adoption, medical and spay/neuter programs. www.pawsinthecity.org.
